We were delighted to welcome pupils from year 5 at Grimsargh St Michael's Church of England Primary School to school on Wednesday 8th November 2023 for a Remembrance Workshop organised by Miss Sherwood, Head of Performing Arts. It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm from all pupils to learn about the First World War. They were really engaged whilst learning about the artefacts from the Imperial War Museum North. They also learnt military drills, war songs and created fantastic wreaths with Ms Murphy, Head of Art, to take back to their school. The cross-curricular workshop finished off with a special worship session with Chaplain Andy and a performance of the songs from World War One.
Thank you to all the pupils from Archbishop Temple Church of England High School who helped out and were fantastic role models and thank you to Miss Sherwood for organising such a successful day.
