At the end of last month, pupils and staff enjoyed a fabulous ski trip to the beautiful Alpine ski-resort of Pila in the Aosta Valley region of northern Italy. Novice skiers joined more experienced skiers on the slopes and all of them had a wonderful time. As well as taking in the amazing scenery and miles of suitable slopes, pupils and staff had a lot of fun enjoying apres ski activities such as bowling and a pizza night.

Here is just some of the positive feedback received from pupils following the trip.

Max, Year 8 - Our time away was brilliant, the skiing was amazing and the activities were fantastic. I would highly recommend going, it is a lot of fun and I had the time of my life.

Cleone, Year 9 - I really enjoyed skiing because the equipment that was given to me was all clean and fitted really well. The staff were really lovely as well and were always there to help. I liked all the instructors as they were very helpful. The things we did after skiing were fun especially the bowling.

Hannah, year 10 - I really enjoyed the trip and I’ve learned a new skill. I started the trip not knowing how to ski at all, but I feel like I’ve come a long way and I’ve got a lot better over the week.

Ian, year 10 - I loved spending time away in Pila, it’s got to be one of the most memorable experiences from high school. I experienced kindness and positivity from everyone on and off the slopes. I wish I wasn’t in year 11 next year because I would love to experience it all over again.

Holly, year 10 - I had a very good time on the school ski trip to Pila, we did a lot of fun activities like going to the arcade, having a pizza night, going on an Aosta town tour, and of course skiing. Not only was the week exciting but it was also relaxing and I enjoyed a lot of my time there.

Thank you to Mrs McLean for organising such a memorable experience.
